About Us

It started back in 2014, in Brisbane, Australia…

Filipinos living in Australia loved sport, but something was missing. You could play the game, wear the gear, and show up every weekend - but there wasn’t always something that truly reflected your culture, your identity, and the crew you belonged to. You were part of the game, but not always fully seen in it.

MY BARKADA THEN
MY BARKADA NOW

Reconnect with filipino culture

Through sport, we reconnected with our culture, our people, and what it means to be part of a barkada - your chosen family. The ones you train with, show up with, and represent without saying a word. That’s when it clicked... this wasn’t just about clothing. It was about creating something people could wear that actually meant something.

What we stand for

The Barkada Project exists to give that feeling a place to live. Through sportswear and streetwear, we create pieces that carry culture, connection, and belonging on and off the field. Because barkada isn’t just friends. It’s your crew. Your family to fall back on, and the people who ride and rise with you through every challenge.

Community doesn’t stop at what we wear - it’s what we give back!

For every item sold, we will set aside $1 AUD to donate this to a Philippines-based charity we feel deeply connected to.
Donations are made regularly as part of our commitment to community and impact.

Our current focus is Save the Children Philippines, supporting vital work in child protection and community wellbeing.
As Barkada grows, we may support different charities over time while staying true to this mission. Because real impact starts with showing up.
